What's new in MixReview
This round makes adding music to an album quicker and gets you to the first sound sooner. Here is what is new.
- Upload a single track right in the album. An empty album now opens with a placeholder track: drop one file per variant button, name the track, upload. The batch upload stays for whole albums. Files are checked before they go up, so a wrong format is refused with a reason instead of failing later.
- Uploads run in parallel. In the single track upload all files go up at once instead of one after another, and each one keeps its own progress bar through processing and saving. A file that fails no longer takes the others with it. The track is created with the rest, and the empty button can be filled again.
- Audio loads faster. A caching layer in front of the audio worker held nothing back while it waited for every chunk to download completely. It is gone, and the time to the first sound dropped by about two thirds.
- Smoother variant switching. Switching to a variant that was not buffered yet no longer jumps in level, and no longer goes quiet until the next chunk boundary.
- Smaller improvements. Your address is shown in the ⋯ menu of every album. Level buttons say what they cover: all tracks or this one. Failed uploads name the file that did not make it. Cleaner waveform rendering.
